Hello Everyone,

Firstly, sorry if this is a repost, i tried searching but i either did not find answers for what i was looking for or i just didn't understand German.

I run my Motorbike on Stock exhaust for which i'd love to have a better sound without investing much. Found a post to disable the servo valve by the CAT for better Sound (Rumble). It looks promising, but before i try it, I have few queries.

1. Is it Legal?

2. Do i get any failure code on the display if i do it?

3. How would you recommend I do it?

Precise questions, short answers.
1: Any manipulation to the standard exhaust system ist not legal
2: I don't know
3: no recommendation to do so.

Depends on how you think "much" is in "investing much". For better/ different sound try an exhaust from SC Project.

There was a report where somebody removed the whole CAT and put the pipes together so that the box on bottom has no function anymore.
You should think that this modification engendered some more power in comparison to the stock exhaust system, because the exhaust gases can flow faster without the bottom exhaust box and the CAT.

Measurements stated that this was not the case, with an fully "open" exhaust you have a bit less power. Someone claims that this has to do with the back presure, that is needed at some rev zones.

The same could be if you take the flap to full open all the time.

Thanks Agentsmith... I don't think i would ever get TÜV until i buy a new exhaust. I thought i can start small with the Servo Mod and later change the ESD.
