Isn't the rule of thumb to add 10% to the wheel hp to get what the crank shaft puts out?

In that case it would mean 207 hp with the Akrapovic. There had been speculation that the motor ran 17.000 rpms and 236 hp on the engine dyno and that the early production models were all in excess of 200 hp - basically saying the 193 hp is a politically motivated, artificial book number. Getting 207 hp with the Akrapovic could mean one of three things:
1. the early 200+ hp reports were exaggerated
2. the Akrapovic isn't able to gain much over an already superb stock system
3. Akrapovic is playing along with BMW in the political arena and is downplaying their actual output

I personally like the third explanation the most and am curious to read the first magazine dyno numbers with the stock system :D

Let wait and see in the next week or the week after (hopefully) what the bike does with the Evo system. Akra can't sell Evo systems if the HP shows no more that stock. The figures will be real!! Lets hope the pre-production models did not have special cams etc.

Well, when i get my bike, i will drag it to a test block.

And when the power is under 200 HP, I'll bring the scrap back to the dealer....

Be patient for one more week. :-)

The power increases by 10 hp on wheel and weight decreases about 7 kg.

Greetings to South Africa

Hmmmm, I will be very happy if this proves to be accurate at our 6000ft. The altitude eats hp here. But I like this info :):)

My patience is thin hahaha. I am in Germany in Jan just at the time my bike reaches South Africa. But by then all the nice things should be available in Germany. I hope to go the Alpha (becuase I am in Munchen) for the ECU tuner. Do you know what the cost is for that yet Murmel??

And greetings to you in Germany too. It is now perfect whether for riding here. You need to visit SA again

Yes I saw the prices. I get wholesale price +5% in South Africa. Should be some Euro less. But a lot of other stuff is cheaper in Europe ;)

By the way, I would like to see if I can get a 300mm carbon silencer instead of the standard 350mm. I do not know if the link pipe diameter is the same as the diameter of the link pipe for the Suzuki K9 Double system which has the shorter 300mm silencer. I will check here with Akra.
